Firework Regulations

With summer in full swing, many of our residents are enjoying outdoor activities in their backyards and patios, in the park, or even camping in the Regional Park with family and friends. The City of Melville would like to remind everyone of the regulations for Fireworks to ensure the safety of themselves and others in our community.
 
Fireworks 
  • No person shall discharge fireworks from any location within the City Limits of Melville without first having obtained a written permit to do so from the Fire Chief (Bylaw 1/01)
  • No person shall sell fireworks to children under the age of eighteen (18) years
